Plot Summary

Jiang Yan is a powerful cultivator who controls life, death, fortune, and misfortune. The Zong family in Baicheng is suffering from a heavenly tribulation, with disasters continuing to strike, and their downfall seems imminent. The family head, Zong Changzhong, begs Jiang Yan for help, and they eventually reach a contract. Jiang Yan refines Zong Changzhong's soul into a Qiankun Umbrella to shield the Zong family from the heavenly tribulation.

Zong Meizhu, the legitimate daughter of Zong Changzhong, mistakenly believes Jiang Yan is her father's illegitimate son. She joins forces with other family members to tear up the contract during her mother's 60th birthday banquet. Zong Meizhu's grandmother is killed on the spot for defying Jiang Yan, and Jiang Yan eventually leaves the Zong family. Later, the Zong family suffers from the heavenly tribulation and collapses, with Zong Meizhu and others reaping the consequences of their actions.
